Host A Corporate Give Back Event
Our Blessing Rooms program provides free post-mastectomy products and treatment essentials to women who have undergone breast cancer treatment. The program aims to ease the financial burden of breast cancer survivors by providing them with the products they need to help them recover and regain their confidence.
Essential Bags: Our Community Outreach program distributes care packages containing items that will help make the journey to recovery easier for breast cancer survivors. We also provide necklaces that serve as a reminder of their strength and resilience in the face of adversity. The program is designed to bring hope and support to survivors in the community.
Our Survivorship Consultation program offers women who have undergone breast cancer treatment with a safe and confidential space to discuss their options for breast reconstruction or other post-surgery consultation. We provide education on alternative options and work with survivors to ensure they are informed and empowered to make the decision that is best for them.
Breast Health: Our Education and Awareness program focuses on promoting breast health by encouraging women to perform regular self-checks and seek medical attention if they notice any changes in their breast health. We provide educational resources and materials to increase awareness of breast cancer risk factors and the importance of early detection.
Here are ways to get involved, as you already do number 1. But if you want to do a
corporate event, we can consider number 3, or as we raise enough for an event,
we can put something on the calendar for your staff to help.
- Make a Donation:
Your donations keep the lights on in our blessing room and allow us to
purchase items that are typically not donated, such as compression items.
Every contribution helps us continue our mission of supporting cancer
survivors.
- Please donate $15 Per Bag: Consider donating $15 per bag to support our
Survivorship Essentials program. This contribution ensures that we can
continue providing free essential items to breast cancer survivors in the
future.
- Sponsor a Survivorship Essential Bag Stuffing Event : You can also sponsor Survivorship Essential Bags at
your Corporate Give Back Event or Church. By sponsoring these bags, you’re
providing tangible support to survivors and promoting a culture of giving within your organization or community. We need at least 200 bags for the event we can setup at your place of business or our facility

bag. Each bag contains essential items to help breast cancer survivors manage
the side effects of treatment.

Foundation to express your interest in sponsoring an event and providing these
bags to cancer survivors.

sponsoring the bags. You can organize fundraising events, donation drives, or

coordinate with Survivor Friendly Foundation to discuss the sponsorship and bag
distribution details.
- Ordering Products: Survivor Friendly Foundation
will use the donated funds to order the necessary beauty essential
products for the bags, including nail polish, eyeliner, lotion, lip gloss,
and eyebrow pencils.
We include various items like nail polish, eyeliner, lotion, lip gloss, eyebrow pencils, and a nail kit in our Survivorship Essential Bags for several important reasons:
Nail Polish: Chemotherapy and other cancer treatments can often cause changes to the nails, such as discoloration or brittleness. Using nail polish allows survivors to beautify their nails, boosting their self-esteem and confidence during challenging times.
Eyeliner:Many cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy, can lead to the loss of eyelashes. Eyeliner can help survivors redefine their eyes and regain a sense of normalcy in their appearance.
Lotion: Cancer treatments can result in dry and irritated skin. The lotion provides much-needed hydration and comfort, soothing dryness and promoting skin health.
Lip Gloss: Side effects of cancer treatments, such as dry mouth or changes in taste, can make lips feel dry an uncomfortable. Lip gloss adds moisture and a touch of color, helping survivors feel more comfortable and confident.Eyebrow Pencils:** Loss of eyebrows is another common side effect of cancer treatments.
Eyebrow pencils allow survivors to fill in and shape their brows, enhancing their facial features and overall appearance.
Nail Kit: Patients often cannot visit salons due to their compromised immune systems during treatment. Including a nail kit enables them to maintain their nail health at home, providing tools and resources for self-care.
6.**Customized Cards:** Provide Survivor Friendly Foundation with cards or
materials for your organization to leave encouraging words on, which will be
included in the bags.
7.**Bag Stuffing Day:** Arrange a bag stuffing day where members of your organization can participate in assembling the Survivor Friendly Bags. This event can serve as a give-back opportunity for your organization.
8.Bag Distribution: Once the bags are filled, Survivor Friendly Foundation will distribute them to breast cancer survivors through their network of approved establishments and other cancer-serving organizations, ensuring they reach those in need for free.
Participation and Support: Continue to support the Survivor Friendly Foundation in their mission to provide support and comfort to cancer survivors. You can participate in future events, fundraising efforts, or volunteer opportunities to further assist their cause.
By following these steps, your business or church can make a meaningful impact in supporting breast cancer survivors through the provision of Survivor Friendly Bags, with the added option of setting up a dedicated fundraising campaign on Survivor Friendly’s website for your event.
